I didn’t speak Mandarin on the flight to Shanghai

“Do you want rice or noodles?”

I don’t understand her but
she is expecting an answer;
should I be offended?

“Do you want rice or noodles?”

I’m not sure what she said,
her accent is too heavy;
she is still expecting.

“…”

She gives me noodles.

. . .

She comes back later
and asks the man next to me
if he wants chocolate or vanilla ice cream.

She places a chocolate on my tray,
without asking.

  1. Possible typo.
    Read this line carefully
    “Do you want rice of noodles?” (the second time)

    do you see it? rice OF noodles? or rice OR noodles?
